Young Leadership Council

UPCOMING EVENT: Rebecca Taylor Shopping Fundraiser - April 10, 2013

Our Young Leadership Council ("YLC") invites young professionals who have a specific interest in our Foundation to help raise funds, plan events, and network with others to raise awareness of the critical need for more research dollars to help people with dystonia and Parkinson’s disease.

Upcoming events for young professionals include shopping nights and free cocktail parties featuring experts from the worlds of finance, journalism, start-ups, fashion and beauty alongside top neurologists in the movement disorder field.  These fun and interesting events are part of something new to the Foundation: the wildly popular "Cocktails & Conversation" series.  While we hope guests enjoy these free events, we wouldn't mind if they also leave with a fuller understanding of the Foundation and the diseases it's fighting to cure.

Young Professional Recognition

Our Scott M. Johnson Memorial Award for Dystonia and Parkinson's Disease Research was established in memory of a member of our Young Professionals Committee who tragically lost his life on September 11th at The World Trade Center. It is given annually to a Young Professional who demonstrates extroadinary enthusium and dedication to assisting the Foundation to raise funds and public awareness about dystonia and Parkinson's Disease.
