Sandra F. Cahn is our new Executive Director of The Bachmann-Strauss Dystonia & Parkinson Foundation. For the last five years, Sandy served as the Northeast Director of The Diabetes Research Institute Foundation, having been responsible for major gifts and development. She also expanded the region's presence, established a formidable board of director's, created many major events, including a donor recognition cocktail reception and a medical conference every other year. Sandy has always beem involved on the fundraising side of numerous other major organizations. She is co-Founder of UJA-Federation’s Women’s Executive Circle, a group serving female CEO’s, CFO’s and Presidents of major corporations whose mission it is to mentor the young Jewish business community. She is also a former Women’s Chair of UJA-Federation of New York. Mrs. Cahn currently serves on the National Board of Hillel, co-chairing its FSU committee, and is the immediate past President of Queens College Hillel. She is on the Board of Director’s of UJA- Federation of New York.
Mrs. Cahn has been Chairman and President of UJC’s National Women’s Philanthropy Campaign, the National Business & Professional Women’s Council and the Office of Women’s Philanthropy for UJA-Federation of NY. She currently serves on the board of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee. She is the Co-Founder and Financial Resource Development Chair of “Limmud-FSU”, an innovative program connecting the Russian Jewish population to pluralistic informal Jewish learning. She has helped it to expand to 5 continents: Russia, Ukraine, Belyrus, Israel and America for Russian speaking young people and was mainly responsible for the fundraising of this initiative.
